IDPH recommend schools allow parents, kids decide whether to wear masks – KCCI Des Moines

The state says it should be up to parents and students whether the student wears a mask to school. However some schools are still requiring masks.

DES MOINES, Iowa —The new recommendations from the Iowa Department of Public Health on Friday said schools should let parents and students make their own decision about wearing face masks.
The IDPH director made the recommendation in a letter to schools, child care providers and local health departments.
